Notes:

The sprint bike route goes to the Starkey Park Education Center and turns left into the parking lot and back out.

The international bike route goes straight the park, all the way to the end of the Starkey bike trail, then south on the Suncoast Trail to SR54 and west on SR54 to Starkey Blvd. A map of the race routes can be found here.

Swim is an out and back, one round trip for sprint, two for international. The sprint course is shorter than the international course. Be sure to listen to the instructions prior to the race.

Run starts with an out and back along the Starkey Blvd bike path. The sprint turns around before the international distance.

In theory, this is the final course map. Be sure to check your packet for any changes.

Swim
The swim is in a large, freshwater lake. Lookouts and lifeguards will be stationed along the bank as well as on jet skis and kayaks.

Bike
The bike route starts out on a four lane divided highway, with two lanes closed to vehicular traffic for the safety of the participants. The balance of the sprint route will be on two lane roads, with deputies and volunteers stationed at all critical intersections. The international distance route includes the Starkey Park Bike Path, which will be patrolled by volunteers watching for drafting violations. Key areas, eg the Anclote River Crossing, will be well marked and no-passing / no drafting rules will be strictly enforced.

Run
The run starts out along the Starkey Blvd bike path, with turnarounds for the sprint and international distances manned with volunteers. The route will go into the Longleaf neighborhood on Marsha Drive and loop through the neighborhood to the Town Center Community Hall and the finish line.

Distances:
Sprint: 1/4 mile swim, 9 mile bike, 3.1 mile run.
International: 0.9 mile swim, 23 mile bike, 6.2 mile run.
